At PeerDent Solutions, our journey began with a vision born from the very heart of dental practice. Our founder, once a dentist overworked by large corporations, saw firsthand how the industry’s focus on financial goals often overshadowed the essential elements of patient education and comfort. This realization sparked a desire for change, leading to the establishment of our first independent dental office.

The road was not easy. We grappled with the complexities of billing, insurance, treatment plan presentations, and the intricacies of managing a practice. Yet, it was our practice, our vision, and we were determined to shape it to meet our goals and enhance patient experience. Through perseverance and a willingness to learn from trial and error, we discovered effective strategies and practices that truly worked.

Our growth was organic but swift. Within two years, we opened a second practice, and a third followed shortly after. This expansion taught us a valuable lesson: running and owning a dental practice is manageable with the right expectations and financial planning. We learned the sacrifices necessary to achieve our goals and the time it would take to build the practice we envisioned.

As our professional network expanded, we noticed a common thread among dentists: the overwhelming nature of acquiring a practice. Many were lost in a sea of collection versus production rates, payroll management, profit and loss statements, and tax returns, all in an attempt to determine if a practice was the right fit. Like many, our dental school education had not prepared us for the financial aspects of running a practice.
